The famous light of Provence has been inspiration for many Impressionist artists, inclucing van Gogh, and is still a reknown artistic domicile. Provence has a unique atmosphere which visitors need time to savour.

Welcome in Avignon for an inforgettable stay to discover Provence ! Avignon will ravish you with the Popes' Palace, the 14th century defensive walls, and the charming and famous "Pont d'Avignon". During your week, You will experiment local Provencal cuisine during a cooking class. The wine lovers won't be forgotten with a tasting in Châteauneuf du Pape. You will visit the iconic medieval villages of Gordes, Roussillon and Les Baux de Provence. You will travel back in time discovering the roman remains such as the Pont du Gard aqueduct and the Antics in St Rémy de Provence.

Day 1: Sunday: Check in – own arrangements to hotel

Day 2: Monday: Day at leisure to discover Avignon on your own.
Day 3: Tuesday: ½ day tour Discover Villages in Luberon.
Tour departing 08:30. Pick up from and return to your hotel.
Depart from Avignon to Roussillon built at the top of an ochre cliff, and providing visitors with a beautiful understanding of the harmonious combination of man and nature Continuation toward Gordes which is a village erected on the top of a cliff, its fortified castle and church dominate the typical houses of the village. Drive to Fontaine de Vaucluse: walk up to the cave from which the River Sorgues emerges. This impressive resurgence spring hasn't revealed its secrets yet and many speleologists have searched in vain the exact depth of the well. Provençal markets on Tuesdays in Gordes and on Thursdays in Roussillon
Day 4: Wednesday: ½ day tour Roman Sites & Historical Places.
Tour departing 08:30. Pick up from and return to your hotel.
Nîmes is a great city of arts, proud of its prestigious Roman past: Augustus's gate, the amphitheater (entrance ticket and audioguide included). When events occur such as concerts or bullfights, the amphitheatre will be closed and the visit will be replaced by a video in the "Maison Carree", one of the best preserved temples in the Roman world. Explore Uzès, charming medieval town and the first Duchy of France. Discover the Place aux Herbes , the Episcopal Palace, the Ducal Palace, the Fenestrelle Tower and Saint- Theodorit Cathedral. End the day at Pont du Gard (entrance fees included), amazing Roman aqueduct.
Day 5: Thursday: Culture and Wine ½ day tour.
Tour departing 14:30. Pick up from and return to your hotel.
Orange : panoramic tour of the city and its roman monuments, Triumphal Arch, Antique Theatre (entrance ticket and audioguide included), one of the best preserved theatre from the Roman period. Châteauneuf du Pape, scenic drive and sightseeing in the vineyards followed by a wine-tasting in a cellar. Good introduction to the wines of the Rhône Valley. During the tour, get explanations about "terroir", grape varieties, vinification and aging cellars.

Day 6: Friday: At leisure
Day 7: Saturday: ½ day tour Van Gogh in Provence.
Tour departing 09:00. Pick up from and return to your hotel.
Discover the landscapes which inspired Vincent Van Gogh! In Arles, walk through the Roman city, the amphitheatre, ancient theater, and look at the main places painted by Van Gogh during his stay in 1888 and 1889. Free time to stroll and discover the weekly market in Arles on Saturday. Photo stop in Les Baux de Provence to admire the village from the Val d'Enfer panoramic view. Enjoy the audiovisual show (ticket included) in the Carrières de Lumière: Picasso will be the theme in 2018. In Saint-Rémy de Provence, take a look at Saint-Paul de Mausole to see some sites painted by Van Gogh (entrance fee not included).

Day 8: Sunday: Check out – own arrangements from hotel.
